Before deciding upon Polaris Lawyers to represent me in my medical negligence case, I had listened to a lengthy podcast with Nick Mann. The journalist asked the sort of complex questions that every potential client needs answers to. Nick’s belief system and heart felt responses with regards to how the law should be practised, in regards to better client- centred resolution, was what I needed to hear and instinctively felt, this was a Lawyer with a conscience and conviction.

The online application process was simple and our first meeting reinforced my decision to choose Polaris Lawyers. Nick listened intently, was empathic and respectful throughout and at no time was I made to feel that because of my age, ( not 21) their representaion would be anything less than what any client could hope for. His attitude was all about fighting the good and fair fight for justice and a positive outcome.

I had already experienced another well known law firm, initially infused with enthusiasm in regards to my case but 12 months on, was dismissed along with my file into the “too hard basket.” As disheartening as this was though, I had the unwavering belief and professional guidance from my outstanding hand Plastic Surgeon, Dr.John Crock. He understood clearly what had gone wrong, leaving me with a permanent injury and along with his medical ethics, expertise and courage, would establish in detailed medical reports, evidence in support of my case.

Having been dismissed by my first law firm, it was a blessing in disguise, as their limited understanding of the content within the medical reports submitted in support of my case, was concerning. In their final communication, the significance of the neurological findings, from a prominent “Neurologist,” who was referred to as “The Urologist,” were not viewed as important enough to continue our collaboration. I had a work injury about 3 years ago , after a big decision we needed to speak to a lawyer to find out where I stood with a work injury, my neurosurgery passed me a business card to Polaris Lawyers .

We made our way to see Megan , she listen to me talking about what happened, we also made it very clear that we weren’t there about the money , that we just needed guidance.

Megan explanation to everything was very clear and easy to understand, we was pushed into anything, we where able to come home and make our own decision.

Which we decided to go ahead with Polaris lawyers.

We only had Megan for a short time  , and then our case was passed onto Yen .

In 2018 I was crossing the road as a pedestrian and all of a sudden I found myself facing off with the bullbar of a 4×4 (travelling at 80km/h, according to police). The driver had decided to run the red light at speed and as I readied my stance in order to jump out of the way, it was already too late and I was struck with enough force to send me flying 15 metres across the intersection. I first learned about Polaris and Nick Mann in 2018 after one year of an injury I obtained during work. Nick was recommended by my nephew who is a lawyer himself. Three years ago, my eyes were injured in eyelid surgery.

For two years after the surgery I continually used prescribed treatments to try and heal my eyes or find relief, but nothing helped.

I then decided to speak to a lawyer about the possibility of lodging a medical negligence case and was referred to Nick Mann, the principal of Polaris Lawyers.  Nick immediately responded to my enquiry and after carefully examining my claim and explaining all the legal steps, he took on my case.

Unfortunately however, through the process of the required medical examinations, my eye injuries have not been assessed as a legal impairment and I could not continue to pursue my claim.

Although I am extremely disappointed with the outcome, I am happy with Nick and his team.  They offered excellent advice and were always compassionate and respectful.  I think that anyone who is considering engaging a lawyer for a personal injury claim should not hesitate to contact Nick Mann to discuss their case.

I first came across Polaris Lawyers when I was introduced to their Principal, Nick Mann by a medico friend who praised their work. I was fortunate to spend 3 months working there as part of my legal training.
